Die Geschichte der Chiffriermaschine Enigma

Im Zweiten Weltkrieg haben die Deutschen ihre Nachrichten mithilfe der Chiffriermaschine Enigma verschlüsselt. Ab einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt gelang es den Engländern, diese Meldungen zu entschlüsseln. Damit konnten sie den Funkverkehr der Deutschen mitlesen. In der Folge führte dies u. a. zur Vernichtung der deutschen U-Boot-Flotte, die bis dahin ungeheuer stark war. Die Entschlüsselung der Enigma hat den Ausgang des Zweiten Weltkrieges entscheidend mitbestimmt.

Im Rahmen der öffentlichen Hochschulreihe hält Prof. Dr. Barbara Wiesner den Vortrag "Die Enigma - die Geschichte der Chiffriermaschine der Deutschen im Zweiten Weltkrieg" am Mittwoch, 11. Juni, um 19 Uhr im Hörsaal 027 des Informatikzentrums der
