Die Bekämpfung von extremer Armut und Hunger ist das erste Millenniums-Entwicklungsziel der Vereinten Nationen. Angesichts der wachsenden Weltbevölkerung und des rasanten Klimawandels gewinnt die Forschung zur Lebensmittelsicherung und -sicherheit zunehmend an Brisanz. Der Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst (DAAD) unterstützt internationale Hochschulprojekte zu diesem Thema und fördert anlässlich der Messe "Anuga FoodTec" in Köln zwei Sommerschulen. Dazu lädt er 50 Expertinnen und Experten aus Afrika, Asien und Lateinamerika ein - alle sind Absolventen deutscher Hochschulen. Vom 10. bis 13.
