CiA 417 (CANopen Lift) profile version 2.0 released

The CiA Special Interest Group (SIG) CANopen Lift has published the version 2.0 of the CANopen application profile for lift control systems (CiA 417). The completely restructured specification is partly incompatible to version 1.0. In particular, the specification for some virtual devices such as car drive has been revised significantly. Also some PDO specifications have been updated. The next CANopen Lift plugfest will already test interoperability of devices compliant to CiA 417 version 2.0. The SIG CANopen Lift will continue to add new virtual devices, but it is not intended to change the technical specification of the just released version
