REALsoftware und Application Systems Heidelberg gaben heute die Linux-Strategie von REALbasic bekannt: REALbasic 5.5, die voraussichtlich im ersten Quartal 2004 erscheinende nächste Version der populären objektorientierten Entwicklungsumgebung für Macintosh und Windows, mit der sich schon jetzt plattformübergreifend Anwendungen für Macintosh und Windows erzeugen lassen, wird im kommenden Jahr auch Linux-Programme generieren können. Es wird dann erstmals möglich sein, auf Macintosh oder Windows REALbasic-Anwendungen für Linux zu compilieren.

REALbasic ist eine vollständige visuelle Entwicklungsumgebung und erlaubt die effiziente Entwicklung von Software für Windows und Apple Macintosh und zukünftig auch für Linux. Es eignet sich für Einsteiger und Profis gleichermaßen und
