Giovanni Leonardi hat sich dazu entschieden, von seiner Funktion als CEO von Alpiq zurückzutreten. Der Verwaltungsrat hat seinem Präsidenten Hans E. Schweickardt den Vorsitz der Geschäftsleitung des Unternehmens ad interim übertragen. Für die Übergangszeit hat der Verwaltungsrat seinen Vizepräsidenten Christian Wanner zum Lead Director bestimmt. Hans E. Schweickardt wird das im Juli 2011 eingeleitete Programm zur Fokussierung auf das Kerngeschäft, zur Verbesserung der Ertragskraft und zur Stärkung des finanziellen Handlungsspielraums konsequent weiterverfolgen.

Der Verwaltungsrat von Alpiq hat den Rücktrittsentscheid von CEO Giovanni Leonardi angenommen. Bis zur Regelung seiner Nachfolge übernimmt Hans E. Schweickardt, Präsident des Verwaltungsrates den Vorsitz der Geschäftsleitung
