Meguin GmbH & Co. KG, a subsidiary of LIQUI MOLY and part of the Würth Group, has successfully doubled its oil production output—without expanding its physical space—thanks to a cutting-edge Track & Trace system developed with Wipotec.
Under the leadership of Plant Manager Christian Texter, Meguin has fully embraced Industry 4.0. A proprietary MES system and Wipotec’s TQS solution now control and monitor the entire production process, ensuring every container—ranging from 0.5-liter bottles to 1000-liter IBCs—is serialized, traceable, and protected against counterfeiting.
"Without this level of automation and integration, we couldn’t handle these volumes," says Texter.
Each container carries a unique QR code linked to data such as batch number, weight, and production time. Aggregation continues through to cartons and pallets, offering full transparency across the supply chain. The TQS system combines weighing, labeling, printing, code scanning, and optical inspection into one compact, centrally controlled unit.
The impact has been significant: productive time increased from 60–65% to 70%, and even small-batch production has become faster and more reliable.
