New Winterhalter Re Temp Glasswashers Add 300 Drinks To Your Profits - Every Year

(PresseBox) (Meckenbeuren, )
Restaurateurs, hoteliers and caterers can save the equivalent of 300 drinks per year in operating costs. This saving is guaranteed by Winterhalter, the innovation leader in dish and glasswashing systems, with the GS 215 ReTemp glasswashing method, consisting of a GS 215 glasswasher combined with ReTemp detergent and rinse aid, plus an optimised rinsing system. Compared to the conventional GS 215 glasswasher, the Re Temp version cuts operating costs by nearly 30 percent per year when incorporated with Winterhalter's "intelligent resource technology". Good news for all environmentally-aware restaurateurs, hoteliers and caterers who also want to achieve a lasting reduction in operating costs.

For sixty years, Winterhalter has worked with customers and the industry to develop advanced dishwashing solutions. In recent years, the focus has turned increasingly to reducing operating costs. This has resulted in Winterhalter developing innovative economy models featuring "intelligent resource technology" (irt).

Analysis of commercial dishwashing technology shows that day-to-day consumption of water and energy is one of the major costs.

Saving Water When Rinsing

For this reason, Winterhalter has developed a new rinsing system for most of its models (GS 215, GS 302, GS 315, GS 502, GS 515). This new system reduces the consumption of fresh water in each cycle. For instance, it reduces the water requirement for a GS 215 down to 2.4 litres per cycle, making it the most economical rinsing method on the market.

And with reduced water consumption other costs - such as energy, detergent and rinse aid - are proportionately reduced.

Energy Savings by Reducing the Temperatures - the ReTemp Glasswashing System

The new ReTemp is an innovative glasswashing system that reduces energy use. It consists of a GS 202 ReTemp or GS 215 ReTemp glasswasher plus F33 ReTemp detergent and K 360 ReTemp rinse aid. What makes Re Temp so special is that the machines run at a tank and boiler temperature of only 40°Celsius instead of 60° or 65°Celsius.

In order to enjoy the benefits of this significant temperature reduction and so to save energy, caterers need the combination of the specially developed Winterhalter detergent and rinse aid, along with the appropriate glasswashers.

An independent testing institute (Milchwirtschaftliches Institut Dr. Josef Hüfner) has confirmed that this combination guarantees absolutely hygienic glasswashing results. It reliably achieves the reduction in the bacterial count required to meet the requirements of the DIN 10511 standard. Additional the same DIN-Norm certifies that the GS 202 ReTemp and GS 215 ReTemp glasswashers are fully suited for the purpose of commercial glasswashing under modified conditions of temperature and time.

Calculation of Operating Costs - Increase in Turnover

Comparing a Winterhalter GS 215 glasswasher using a conventional rinsing system with a GS 215 ReTemp shows that the reduced consumption of water and energy results in annual savings of approximately 600 Euro. This corresponds to a reduction in operating costs of nearly 30 percent.

Put another way, it's equivalent to selling an extra 300 soft drinks a year, costing an average of two euros each.

These calculations are based on 80 racks a day, 365 days a year. They factor in the costs of water, wastewater, electricity, detergent (including dosing) and rinsing aid (including dosing), as well as feed, tank and boiler temperatures. This gives annual operating costs for the GS 215 of approximately 2,260 Euro, reducing to 1,660 Euro for the GS 215 ReTemp with optimised rinsing system.

Apart from the financial benefits, the ReTemp method offers additional advantages: o Improved working environment: washing or rinsing at only 40°Celsius minimises the release of warm, humid water vapour when the machine door is opened. This substantially improves the environment and conditions for staff and guests. o Dry glasses: the Winterhalter rinse aid developed specifically for 40°Celsius enables glasses to dry at low temperatures. o Good beer head stability: the low temperature of the glass and the special rinse aid promote beer head stability and guarantee maximum drinking enjoyment.
