Exciting New Companies at WTshow at Medica 2013

November 20th - 23rd, Dusseldorf (Germany), hall 15 booth C03

(PresseBox) (Herrsching am Ammersee, )
The WTshow is back at Medica for the 4th consecutive year with more companies than ever before. At the world's largest annual medical marketplace taking place in November in Dusseldorf, Wearable Technologies will be presenting seven product world premieres.

"The market for wearable devices in the grey zone between health and fitness remains a strong growth sector. The most promising start-ups 2013 are coming from this segment," says Christian Stammel, CEO of Wearable Technologies AG, which might be one of the reasons why so many new companies wanted to be part of the Wearable Technologies booth.

Brain monitoring solutions from 4DForce, indoor tracking solutions from 9Solutions, smart clothing and apps from AiQ , and telemedicine hard- and software solutions from Bodytel will be in display again at this year's WTshow. And research and development company CSEM, micro- and nanoelectronics research center IMEC , inertial sensor solutions from Exel , antenna specialist Laird , biomechanics and kinesiology company TMG-BMC and battery expert VARTA Microbattery will also be exhibiting at the WT booth C03 in hall 15 in 2013. WT will present more diverse topics this year and is proud to partner with the following new exhibitors:

Biovotion AG is a Swiss-based medical device company, providing solutions for continuous, non-invasive physiological monitoring. The Biovotion Vital Sign Monitoring platform (VSM) is a mobile, standalone wearable device, monitoring vital sign parameters and supported by integrated cloud services for data exchange and analysis.

In cooperation with co-exhibitor Exel the Italian company CoRehab will present the collaborative rehabilitation solution RiabloT. With this innovative product, patients can perform exercises playing a video game in an accurate and effective manner, with inertial and pressure sensors to capture their movements. The "game" mode allows all patients to focus on the movements, diverts the mind from the physical pain, and keeps them motivated over time. This also comes with great gain in resources and time savings for physiotherapists and rehabilitation entrepreneurs who can discover new and interesting business opportunities. Riablo is scientifically proven and has passed a series of tests and trials made by prestigious hospitals and clinics in Europe.

Evena Medical is the industry's first fully-integrated technology delivering vascular imaging and documentation of vein access and patency with real-time EMR interfacing. The solution brings an easy-to-use vein detecting device with access and IV patency visualization to the medical practitioner via a patented, hands-free informatics and documentation system. It is a complete risk mitigation solution providing a 'Second Brain' at the bedside to reduce medication errors and improve efficacy.

Gloreha® by Idrogenet is an innovative device for rehabilitation of patients with any hand deficiency. It allows an effective an intensive, early, stimulant and flexible neuromotor treatment. While the patient can follow the exercise through 3D animation on the screen, a comfortable and light glove mobilizes the fingers' joints. Hand movements are connected with video and audio effects that stimulate the neurocognitive recovery. Gloreha allows varied and longer therapies with minimal supervision by the therapist.

MaxCom is a rapidly developing company specialized in production and continuous improvement of telecommunication and telecare products. The company is the first in Central Europe, to have offered customers a friendly, ergonomic mobile phone with large keys in 2008. Today the portfolio consists of several models. Each phone comes with an SOS button, providing users with safety in every situation. It's as simple as pressing one button to call for help. At Medica 2013 MaxCom will present their latest solutions: a telephone with a wireless, waterproof bracelet which can notify help in emergency situations, and a telehealth system.

WINMedical , whose quality system complies with ISO13485 and ISO9001, produces wireless health monitoring systems. The company is a leader in the field of medical equipment for hospital wards of medium and low intensity of care. It is also active in the design, development and marketing of wireless medical systems, based on cutting-edge technology, for the welfare and health of man and woman of the third millennium.
