Vögtlin did it again! Advanced gas flow measurement and control

We are proud to be among the winners of the Innovation Awards 2025!

(PresseBox) (Muttenz, )
After obtaining an innovation award for the compact versatile mass flow meter, Vögtlin got the 2025 innovation award for the d·flux mass flow controller/meter.

These multiparameter (mass flow, volumetric flow, temperature, pressure and density) are based on viscosity depended differential pressure measurement over an advanced laminar flow element. The viscosity and density are calculated based the refprop (NIST) database by accurately measuring the pressure and the temperature. Due to this you get highly accurate readings of the flow independent of pressure and temperature changes. With this calculation you can program almost any gas in the flow meter based on the basic air calibration. This makes the unit economical for any gas and flexible in use.

The unit always comes with analog, Modbus and Bluetooth communication but as an option you can get all common Ethernet communication. The process and status details can be read over free PC software or over a free Android app on any Android device.

The unit has specifically developed for higher gas flow rates (Air 0-350 to 0-1400 ln/min, Hydrogen up to 2900 ln/min) with a 1” bspp process connection for easy adaption to your process. No long straight length before or after the flowmeter required, suitable for compact installations. With a wide choice of materials, we can offer a solution for most applications.

The d·flux delivers true technology performance:
  • precise multi-parameter measurement
  • exceptional accuracy and long-term stability
  • measurement and control ranges up to 1500 ln/min (gas depended H2 2900 ln/min)
  • advanced digital communication and multi-gas capability for up to 15 gases or mixtures
  • advanced sensor options for maximum flexibility across applications
In the Americas they are sold though our colleagues of Sierra Instruments and units are black, in the rest of world they are sold by Vögtlin and they units are yellow, but they are identical units.
