VITRONIC wins tender in Estonia: Order placed for ten speed enforcement systems

(PresseBox) (Wiesbaden / Tallinn, )
Machine vision specialist VITRONIC GmbH from Germany and their Estonian partner Alarmtec AS have won a tender for ten stationary speed enforcement systems from the Estonian Road Administration. Due to the advanced technology VITRONIC clearly surpassed a direct competitor. It is already the third consecutive order in Estonia. With this the VITRONIC success story in the Baltic state continues.

The VITRONIC solution for speed enforcement includes the delivery of ten mobile LIDAR-based PoliScanspeed systems as well as ten so called Dual Purpose Housings. Dual Purpose Housings are robust steel housings for fixed roadside installation. This solution connects mobile and stationary speed enforcement with highest flexibility. The mobile systems can either operate in the Dual Purpose Housing or they can be used in a vehicle or on a tripod. This way the time the systems are not used at all is reduced to a minimum.

PoliScanspeed systems operate without in-road loops or sensors. Laser technology allows the measurement of violations even at high speeds or in demanding situations such as curves or road-work areas. Tailgating or lane-changing vehicles are captured as well.
