Anlagen Umrüstung von S5® auf S7® - genial einfach

Die Umrüstung einer bestehenden S5- auf eine S7-Anlage war bislang ein aufwändiges Unterfangen. Die Herzogenauracher VIPA GmbH bietet jetzt eine genial einfache Lösung für dieses Problem an - mit Hilfe eines Profibus-DP Interface-Moduls.

War es bislang nur mit erheblichem Aufwand, hohen Umrüstkosten und vor allem langen Stillstandszeiten möglich, bestehende S5®-Anlagen in die S7®-Welt zu integrieren, gehören solche Probleme jetzt der Vergangenheit an. Mit dem VIPA IM306DP-Slave ist ab sofort eine stufenweise Umrüstung einer S5-Anlage möglich - mit kürzesten Stillstandszeiten.

Bestehende Anlagen der Serie 115U, 135U und155U können mit den IM306DP Interface Modulen problemlos umgerüstet werden. Der VIPA IM306DP-Slave wird dabei einfach in das S5-Erweiterungsrack eingebaut und dann via Profibus-DP mit einer S7-CPU verbunden. Dadurch können digitale und analoge Baugruppen aus der S5-Serie mit S7-Baugruppen verbunden werden. Großer Vorteil dieser Lösung ist der Wegfall der ansonsten sehr aufwändigen Verkabelung aller Baugruppen. Durch den redundanten Umbau ist zusätzlich eine maximale Sicherheit der Anlage gewährleistet.
