VARTA CoinPower receives the Innovation Award 2015

Thanks to their exceptional properties, VARTA CoinPower button cells won the "Selezione di Elettronica" Innovation Award 2015 in the "Sistemi di Potenza" category at the Innovation Gala 2015 held in Milan at the end of October.

VARTA CoinPower are rechargeable Lithium-Ion button cells with an energy density of up to 30% higher than all comparable products. Intense research work carried out at VARTA Microbattery in Ellwangen has led to several patented innovations, which make CoinPower cells unique. With their long service life and excellent charge and discharge properties, all aspects of the button cells are impressive. The product also stands out thanks it its high environmental compatibility, with cells free of lead, mercury and cadmium.

On account of their exceptional properties and intelligent design, VARTA CoinPower button cells are highly versatile. "Their compact and stable design, combined with their outstanding efficiency, makes CoinPower cells an ideal energy source for new mobile applications", explains Herbert Schein, CEO of the group of companies.
