As part of a customer-specific project, the SpeedMarker 700 was expanded to include an ergonomic solution for laser processing of heavy workpieces. An extendable, reinforced table enables manual loading outside the laser system and supports body-hugging, back-friendly handling. The motorized Y-axis automatically moves the table into the protected laser area (laser protection class 2) and out again after the engraving or marking has been completed. It is operated via a robust mushroom switch. By reducing the physical strain on employees, efficiency in the production process is increased – while maintaining the same quality and productivity.
In another project, the customer wants to mark very long metal hoses at their end or rework the weld seam. Since the components are very long, but the area to be marked is small, a SpeedMarker 700 was modified. The laser workstation was supplemented by a long closed component support, which is connected to the working area via a hatch. Automatic feeding was not desired, which is why the system is designed in such a way that the tubes are manually fixed in the circular engraving device and the support box is closed manually. Magnetic safety switches also ensure laser safety class 2 in this variant.
