Ergonomic laser marking of heavy components

Customisation of the Laser Workstation SpeedMarker 700

(PresseBox) (Marchtrenk, )
In industrial environments where heavy workpieces need to be marked regularly, ergonomic solutions are in demand. Trotec is one of the few international laser system manufacturers that offers customisation. As part of a customer-specific project, the SpeedMarker 700 was modified to include an ergonomic solution for the laser processing of heavy workpieces.

An extendable, reinforced table enables manual loading outside the laser system and facilitates body- and back-friendly handling.

The motorised Y-axis automatically moves the table into the protected laser area (laser safety class 2) and back out again once engraving or marking is complete. This process is operated via a robust mushroom switch. Reducing physical strain on employees increases efficiency in the production process while maintaining quality and productivity.

Technical features of the customised solution:
  • Load capacity of up to 30 kg (66 Ibs)
  • Marking area: 580 x 400 mm (22 x 15 Inch)
  • Workpiece height: up to 490 mm (19 Inch) (at F=160)
Laser sources: 20–100 watts
  • Compact design with reduced space requirements
Trotec Laser is the ideal partner for all your laser processing needs

The expansion of the SpeedMarker 700 is an example of the existing series devices' modular adaptability. The Trotec Galvo Competence Centre on Lake Constance develops solutions that are precisely tailored to the requirements of industrial production environments, from technical design to commissioning.

"Ergonomically designed workstations are becoming increasingly important in industrial manufacturing," explains Harald Böhler, Trotec Laser Solutions' CTO. This customer-specific expansion is based on a detailed analysis of the customer's production processes and requirements, and it demonstrates the flexibility of Trotec systems in industrial applications.

The Trotec Galvo Competence Centre in Markdorf develops and produces Galvo laser systems from the InMarker and SpeedMarker series. With its interdisciplinary team of experts in technology, software, applications and production, the centre has been creating customised laser solutions for industrial applications worldwide for over 30 years!
