ThermoMed strengthens management

Michael Löckener becomes additional managing director at the specialist's for actively temperature-controlled pharmaceutical shipments between 2 and 8 degrees

As of this month, Michael Löckener has been strengthening the management of trans-o-flex ThermoMed, the logistics provider specialising in actively temperature-controlled pharmaceutical shipments. Within the trans-o-flex Group, the company is primarily responsible for the transport of refrigerated pharmaceuticals at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius. The management also includes Stefan Gerber and the two managing directors of the parent company trans-o-flex, Wolfgang P. Albeck and Christian Althaus.

While Albeck is Chairman of the Board and Althaus is responsible for finance and controlling issues, Löckener has taken on responsibility for sales, customer service and operations in the ThermoMed management. Gerber focuses on administration, vehicle fleet, quality and is responsible for the ThermoMed subsidiary in Austria.

The 55-year-old Löckener has been working for trans-o-flex since April 2015, to date in the function of Regional Operations Manager North. Prior to this, the logistics manager and transport economist worked for the logistics service providers Fiege, TNT and GLS.

Both nationally and internationally, trans-o-flex, in contrast to 100-% parcel services or forwarding agencies, delivers both goods in parcels and on pallets and also offers special services, such as the transportation of hazardous goods (without being limited to small quantities), express and time-window deliveries, shipment consolidation as well as direct deliveries. Thus, the company covers the entire logistic chain from procurement and warehousing to distribution and fulfilment.
