Martin Reder is taking over as CEO of the logistics service provider trans-o-flex, which specialises in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, consumer electronics and other sensitive goods sectors, with immediate effect. He succeeds Wolfgang P. Albeck, who is moving to the company's Supervisory Board. The 58-year-old Reder has more than three decades of experience in network operations, sales, customer service and product management at express services providers TNT and Fedex. Most recently, he was Managing Director Special Services at Fedex Express Germany since 2017, responsible for Northern, Central and Eastern Europe in more than 20 countries. Previously, Martin Reder held numerous management positions in the TNT group. Among other things, he was Managing Director of TNT Value Added Logistics (high availability logistics) and had product responsibility for the same-day service “TNT HEUTE”. He also developed special logistics solutions for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries as well as for media and motor racing. As Chief Operating Officer for TNT Express Germany, he was responsible for 31 branches with around 3,500 employees. "In Martin Reder, we have gained an expert for express delivery with an uncompromising commitment to quality for the management of trans-o-flex," said Marie-Christine Lombard, CEO of GEODIS and Chairwoman of the trans-o-flex Supervisory Board. "We are very pleased that the transition in the CEO function was completed so quickly, and the entire Supervisory Board wishes Martin Reder every success in his new role and for the further development of this unique company."

Thomas Kraus, President and CEO EUROPE at GEODIS, added: "Through the acquisition of trans-o-flex last year, GEODIS has significantly grown its service portfolio in Germany. We want to further expand this development, also internationally. Together with Martin Reder, we will continue to develop our global end-to-end logistics solutions and utilise synergies to support the growth and geographical expansion of our customers."

In front of employees at the company's headquarters in Weinheim, Martin Reder said: "I am very much looking forward to the new tasks that are waiting for me at trans-o-flex. I see two main areas that I would like to focus on: Firstly, the continuation of the company's philosophy of excellence, which has led to the highest level of operational quality, reliability and dependability. Secondly, being part of the GEODIS Group enables trans-o-flex to expand its international portfolio, allowing us to offer our customers additional services and products."

Together with Martin Reder, Michael Schmidt (Finance) and Eugen Günther (Sales) continue to form the management of trans-o-flex.

trans-o-flex Express GmbH & Co. KGaA

trans-o-flex's core areas of expertise are logistics solutions for the healthcare, cosmetics and consumer electronics industries and other sensitive goods. The company has built up transport networks to carry goods throughout Germany and Austria at 15 to 25 degrees Celsius or 2 to 8 degrees Celsius actively temperature-controlled and documented in accordance with EU regulations for healthcare transport. These EU-GDPs require the highest standards for safety and security, cleanliness, reliability and transparency, from which all trans-o-flex customers benefit. trans-o-flex operates internationally via the networks EUROTEMP (temperature-controlled logistics) and EURODIS (in 38 European countries). In contrast to parcel and groupage services, trans-o-flex delivers parcels and pallets on a consolidated basis. trans-o-flex Express offers numerous express and time-slot deliveries, special services such as hazardous goods transportation (without minimum quantity regulation), consignment consolidation and direct deliveries. The range of services is complemented by warehousing, order picking and individual value-added services such as serialisation and deserialisation of pharmaceuticals. This means that the company covers the entire logistics chain from procurement through to fulfilment. In addition, trans-o-flex is part of GEODIS and can therefore utilise the French group's global logistics services. The annual turnover of the trans-o-flex companies, which employ a total of around 2,000 people, amounted to around 617 million euros in 2022. More information is available at www.trans-o-flex.com
