Expansion of the supply of CO2-reduced packaging steel
Following a successful joint project with the herbal sweets manufacturer Ricola in 2022, Hoffmann Neopac will be using the agreed bluemint® rasselstein® quantities in order to convert other customers to CO2-reduced tinplate packaging. Hoffmann Neopac supplies customers worldwide with products from the baby food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and wellbeing sectors.
The signed letter of intent means that both thyssenkrupp Rasselstein and Hoffmann Neopac are playing a key part in the climate-friendly steel added value chain.
“The production of CO2-reduced steel is a major contributing factor in achieving our sustainability goals.“ states CEO Dr. Peter Biele. thyssenkrupp intends to make its production climate neutral by no later than 2045.
Can production with 100 percent renewable electricity
“Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.
