Designed to “see what matters,” Visus delivers a modern, future-proof architecture, enhanced performance, and cost-optimized design, making it an ideal choice for integrators, OEMs, and system builders balancing speed, precision, and value.
Compact, Rugged, and Integration-Ready
Visus features a 29 × 29 × 44 mm industrial housing (13 mm shorter than The Imaging Source’s previous GigE housed cameras) while maintaining the durability required for demanding production environments. The series supports Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), 1× trigger/GPIn, 2× GPIOs, and offers full GigE Vision compliance with GenICam SFNC conformity for maximum interoperability. The platform architecture consolidates FPGA, RAM, and Flash into a unified design block, enabling more efficient processing, simplified firmware management, and faster system integration.
Now Shipping in Multiple Sensor Variants
With the transition to series production, The Imaging Source is now shipping Visus models with the following sensor options:
- Sony IMX900: 3.2 MP, global shutter
- onsemi AR0521: 5 MP, rolling shutter
- Sony IMX568: 5 MP, global shutter
- Sony IMX676: 12.5 MP, rolling shutter
- onsemi AR2020: 19.7 MP, rolling shutter
“With Visus now in full series production, OEMs and integrators gain access to a modern GigE camera platform that is mature, stable, and ready for deployment at scale,” said Momchil Binev, Senior Product Manager at The Imaging Source. “Visus delivers the right mix of performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, accelerating time to market for high-performance imaging systems.”
