The growing world population needs raw materials

Battery raw materials and fertilizers such as potash are needed to provide sufficient food.

(PresseBox) (Herisau, )
In 25 years' time, the world will no longer be populated by around eight billion people, but by around ten billion. This means that agriculture and infrastructure solutions will face major challenges. The first autonomous tractors already exist. Electric and autonomous vehicles are not only the future in mining, but also in agriculture. Modern vehicles and machines can work virtually non-stop, making them particularly efficient. With the technological development that is taking place, energy requirements are also increasing. The metal and mining industry is therefore likely to face a new upswing, as the development of new technologies and the achievement of energy security will not work without metals. According to forecasts, electricity generation from renewable energies will increase globally by almost 90 percent by 2030. This development will require raw materials such as lithium, nickel and cobalt to produce battery capacities

The Canada Nickel Company - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/canada-nickel-company-inc/ - is responsible for the supply of cobalt and nickel. The Crawford flagship project is wholly owned by the company. In addition to high-tech vehicles, fertilizers are indispensable in agriculture. Plants need potash fertilizer during the growth phase in order to absorb sufficient water. Potash also ensures greater resistance to frost. Fertilizer is the food for plants, and it increases crop yields. According to the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations), fertilizers increase global food production by around 50 percent. This is where potash comes into play.

Millennial Potash - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/millennial-potash-corp/ - has a promising potash project in a mining-friendly country, namely Gabon, Africa. The conditions for success there are excellent, the infrastructure is in place and the largest potash consumers, China, India and Brazil, are close by.
