The first flying car comes

(PresseBox) (Herisau, )
.
A California company has become the first to receive approval for a flying e-car.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has granted the Californians certification. The Model Alef A is still only flying for test purposes, but pre-orders are now possible. Anyone who wants to shell out just under $300,000 can make a down payment now. Sales are scheduled to begin in 2025. Numerous pre-orders have already been placed. The vehicle is reminiscent of the Batmobile, it can take off and land vertically, fly or drive as desired depending on the traffic situation. The Batmobile is the vehicle of the comic book hero Batman. The science fiction dream come true has room for two passengers.

The electric car that can also fly has been tested since 2019, it is a so-called eVTOLs (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing aircraft). Electric cars work because raw materials are built in for important functions. Technology metals such as lithium and cobalt are needed for the batteries. Magnets are also built into the electric motors, most of which require rare earth metals. Shortages and price increases for lithium and cobalt are expected. If you look at an average lithium-ion battery, it contains around ten kilograms of cobalt. Around six million e-cars are expected to populate the roads in this country by 2030. According to the BMZ, around 60 million kilograms of cobalt would then be needed for the batteries in Germany alone. Since it is not only the World Bank that forecasts a significant increase in demand for the battery raw materials, investors should take a look at companies such as US Critical Metals or ION Energy.

US Critical Metals - https://www.commodity-tv.com/play/us-critical-metals-advancing-multiple-projects-with-lithium-rare-earths-and-cobalt-in-the-us/ - owns the advanced Clayton Valley Lithium Project in Nevada. In Idaho and Montana, the company still has projects with cobalt, rare earths and lithium.

ION Energy - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/ion-energy-ltd/ - is working on two prospective lithium projects in mining-friendly Mongolia.
