Positive price outlook for uranium

(PresseBox) (Herisau, )

Climate change can only be overcome with nuclear energy. Uranium companies should be among the winners.

Carbon emissions have not yet improved significantly in this country. In 2022, carbon dioxide emissions fell slightly, by 1.9 percent compared with the previous year. The largest CO2 emitter is China, with around 30 percent of global emissions. The USA causes around 13 percent and Germany around just under two percent. Germany is to become CO2-neutral by 2045, no easy feat. But China is also making efforts to reduce CO2 emissions in the coming years. However, global CO2 emissions are increasing every year. Unfortunately, solar and wind energy, especially in this country, are not enough. Clean energy must be purchased from France, which relies entirely on nuclear energy. The price of uranium has risen sharply. Today, a pound of uranium costs more than 50 U.S. dollars. One of the reasons for this was the European energy crisis, which has made nuclear energy more attractive. And it seems that most experts in the uranium industry expect the price of uranium to continue to rise, for example to $70 per pound of uranium in 2024 (Bank of America).

Japan has just enacted a law that allows existing nuclear reactors to operate indefinitely, eliminating the 60-year limit. The restarting of reactors and the construction of new plants is being pushed. Like Germany, Japan is a country poor in raw materials. China is planning the most new nuclear power plants, how could it be otherwise, followed by Russia and India. So, for the move away from fossil fuels to succeed, uranium is needed. Investors who, like many others, are convinced of rising uranium prices can position themselves by investing in stocks such as Consolidated Uranium or IsoEnergy.

IsoEnergy - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/isoenergy-ltd/ - has three uranium projects in the Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan, in one of the best uranium areas. The summer exploration program is now underway.

Consolidated Uranium - https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/consolidated-uranium-inc/ - is one of the companies ready to start in the short term. Projects are located in Canada, Australia, Argentina and the USA. Uranium projects in Colorado and Wyoming are to be pursued with the formation and spin-off of a subsidiary.
