Making Work Easy and Safe with Mobile Robots, Simplified Controllers, and Hygienic Design

Stäubli Robotics at Automate 2026

(PresseBox) (Duncan, South Carolina, )
As one of the leading suppliers in industrial automation, Stäubli Robotics focuses on automating repetitive, difficult, and even dangerous tasks to benefit businesses and employees alike. At Automate Booth #1801, from June 22 to 25 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, Stäubli will show how its robotic systems shift the burden of demanding production processes from people to robots, delivering smart, safe, and reliable solutions.

Stäubli is a complete automation solution provider with a comprehensive portfolio of six-axis, SCARA, and mobile robots for applications across a broad range of sectors, from heavy industry to healthcare and food. Stäubli robots adapt to the unique requirements of production environments, and now include the world’s widest range of robots for hygiene-sensitive applications. Stäubli will demonstrate this breadth of capabilities at Automate with a variety of exhibits and live robot cells.

Automating intralogistics with advanced mobile robotics

Stäubli’s new FL1500 automated forklift will make its North American debut at Automate. The self-driving FL1500 features high flexibility, automated control, an ultra-compact footprint, and modular design, enabling a wide range of intralogistics applications to be automated safely and reliably. Stäubli is further expanding the FL1500’s range of industrial applications with new variants that meet the increasingly critical efficiency and scalability needs of the logistics market.

Stäubli will also feature its Red Dot Design Award-winning PF3 Omni, an ultra-compact mobile robot platform with a three-ton load capacity, and Sterimove, the world's first mobile pharma robot for Grade A/B/C/D cleanroom environments—a major innovation in pharmaceutical production.

With labor shortages reshaping manufacturing and logistics, Stäubli’s mobile robotics portfolio offers a direct path to higher productivity and rapid return on investment. Solutions like the FL1500 are designed for scalable deployment, enabling production facilities to automate critical workflows quickly and achieve measurable economic benefits.

CS9 robot controllers: Easy to integrate, use, and maintain

Stäubli’s extended CS9 controller range delivers reliable performance in a compact, modular, and energy‑efficient design. Its open architecture simplifies integration into existing automation environments, while embedded safety functions support a wide range of user profiles. The CS9 robot controller range now includes:
  • New: CS9 EP (external power) Controller: Flexible installation for space‑constrained layouts
  • CS9 LP (low payload) Controller: Compact version with reduced power requirements
  • CS9 SE (SCARA edition) Controller: Optimized for high‑speed SCARA applications
Robust robotics for life science and food applications

Stäubli will demonstrate its leadership in robots engineered for hygiene‑sensitive environments, widely used across life science and medical applications. The TX2‑60L MedX Ready robot, equipped with the intuitive MedXguiding function, highlights how precise manual guidance, high‑performance six‑axis kinematics, and cleanroom‑ready design support automation in laboratories, medical device development, and other sensitive workflows.

A second demonstration features a TX2‑60L Accesspharma robot picking small components from an ARS FlexiBowl feeder with the aid of an Apera AI vision system. Stäubli’s Accesspharma series robots are designed for auxiliary processes in pharmaceutical as well as medical device manufacturing. They operate in Grade C/D environments and can easily be cleaned with 70 % isopropyl alcohol wipes.

Flexible machine tending for evolving needs

Stäubli will feature its MTC 700/900 Machine Tending Cart, a plug‑and‑play solution for flexible machine loading and unloading. Compatible with TX2‑60 and TX2‑60L robots, the cart combines a compact, modular design with built‑in SIL 3‑PL e safety and intuitive VAL Blocks programming to simplify deployment in metalworking, injection molding, and other production environments with frequent changeovers. The machine tending cart’s adaptability and collaborative features make it easy to integrate, reconfigure, and scale as manufacturing needs evolve.

Stäubli will also highlight its customer services, designed to keep automation systems running safely and efficiently. Visitors can explore EasyBridge, an IoT‑enabled maintenance solution included in Stäubli’s Care Packs that provides automatic log uploads, backups, and live robot status for proactive equipment management. Stäubli will additionally showcase its Training Cell, which supports safe, hands‑on learning and helps teams build the skills needed to operate and maintain advanced robotic systems with confidence.

At Automate 2026 Booth #1801, Stäubli’s lineup of demos and exhibits, highlighting specialized solutions across multiple industries, will exemplify its mission to make work easy and safe with smart, reliable automation. By reducing complexity, enhancing safety, and enabling greater productivity, Stäubli empowers manufacturers to adapt with confidence and build smarter, safer production environments.
