High-precision Pasan testers provide the most exact measurement results at the most significant TÜV Rheinland locations in the growth region of Asia. With expansion of the successful cooperation with TÜV Rheinland Asia, 3S customers in the region have new opportunities for even quicker certification.

Stefan Kiehn, the head of TÜV Rheinland's Asian PV Testing Labor in Yokohama, says "We are busy expanding our testing capacities in Asia, where more and more manufacturers are assembling modules for the global market. With the highly efficient sun simulators from Pasan, we can offer our customers a highly precise and therefore completely reliable test of their products".

Since 2007, the TÜV Rheinland Group has been continually expanding its tests of photovoltaic modules in the growth market of Asia. The globally active test provider makes use of tried and proven 3S testing equipment from Neuchâtel, Switzerland. State-of-the-art, type 3b sun simulators from Pasan are in action at the TÜV Rheinland's Asian headquarters in Yokohama (Japan), at TÜV Rheinland China in Shanghai and soon also at TÜV Rheinland's Testing Labor in Taiwan (Taipeh).

"For decades now, the TÜV Rheinland name has been a hallmark of competence as testers of quality and safety," says Andreas von Känel, the COO at Pasan, "We are proud that all the testing laboratories of TÜV Rheinland in Asia are now working with our sun simulators. It confirms our claim to be the world's leading company in the field of PV measuring technology".

The 3S Group has been cooperating for years with the TÜV Rheinland in the field of certification. Working together, a fast-track process was developed for certification, enabling 3S customers to achieve an extremely rapid certificate during the project phase. "Thanks to the strengthened local cooperation with the TÜV Rheinland in Asia, the certification process for Asian customers can be optimised even further," says Michael Raber, 3S General Manager Asia Pacific.
