AS4 increases openness and interoperability of webMethods
Mark Herring, Senior Vice President, Product Marketing, Software AG, said: "Software AG is committed to offering our customers with open standards-based solutions to drive greater interoperability. The AS4 standard increases the openness of webMethods and is a statement of Software AG's intent to drive global interoperability with the continuous adoption of the latest technical standards such as AS4. The AS4 Profile makes it easier to implement ebMS 3.0 by constraining and paring down the options for vendors, which lowers costs and increases interoperability. We were a contributor to the AS4 standard and learned from prior messaging initiatives - AS2, ebXML and Web Services - by taking the best and most useful aspects of this foundation."
Australian Company Superpartners Uses AS4 Module as On-ramp for B2B integration
Mark Crawshaw, Manager Channel & Integration Competency Centre, Superpartners, said: "We utilise the webMethods Module for AS4 as an on-ramp for B2B integration. As Australia's largest superannuation (pension) administrator we rely on the adapter to interact with what will be one of the country's largest B2B networks. When this network is fully rolled out in 2017 our AS4 endpoint will receive contribution information on behalf of ~6 million member and ~1.2 million employer accounts on a regular basis. Already live in production, the adapter has been performance tested with volumes of up to 500,000 transactions per message. Our partnership with Software AG has contributed considerably in our ability to be a leader in the industry in this endeavour."
