Verbesserte PROFIBUS-PA-Integration – PNGate PA erleichtert Anlagensteuerung mit ABB Field Information Manager (FIM)

Die neue Version 1.34 des pnGate PA unterstützt jetzt das ABB Field Information Manager (ABB FIM) Asset-Management-Tool. Damit erweitert sich die Kompatibilität des Gateways um eine weit verbreitete Lösung für die Verwaltung von PROFIBUS PA-Feldgeräten.

Bisher ermöglichte pnGate PA die Konfiguration und Diagnose von PROFIBUS PA-Geräten über FDT/DTM-Pactware und Siemens PDM. Mit der neuen Version kommt nun ABB FIM als weiteres unterstütztes Asset-Management-Tool hinzu. Dies bietet Anwendern noch mehr Flexibilität bei der Verwaltung ihrer Feldgeräte, da sie zwischen verschiedenen führenden Engineering-Umgebungen wählen können.

Neben der erweiterten Kompatibilität zeichnet sich die neue Version durch die Unterstützung von ABB FIM über ein spezielles FIMlet-Plug-in aus, welches auf der Softing-Website zum Download bereitsteht. Die Installation erfolgt einfach durch Import der Datei in ABB FIM, wodurch eine reibungslose Einbindung der PROFIBUS PA-Feldgeräte gewährleistet wird. Zudem wurde die Benutzerfreundlichkeit weiter optimiert: Die nahtlose Integration in ABB FIM ermöglicht eine intuitive Bedienung und schnelle Konfiguration der Feldgeräte.
