The latest Version 1.34 of pnGate PA now includes support for the ABB Field Information Manager (ABB FIM) asset management tool. This extends compatibility with a widely used solution for managing PROFIBUS PA field devices.
Previously, pnGate PA enabled configuration and diagnostics of PROFIBUS PA devices via FDT/DTM Pactware and Siemens PDM. With the new version 1.34, ABB FIM has been added as another supported asset management tool. This gives users even more flexibility in managing their field devices by allowing them to choose between different leading engineering environments.
In addition to extended compatibility, the new version offers ABB FIM support via a special FIMlet plug-in, which can be downloaded from the Softing website. Installation is straightforward - users simply import the file into ABB FIM, ensuring seamless integration of PROFIBUS PA field devices. The user experience has also been further improved, with intuitive operation and fast configuration of field devices thanks to the seamless integration into ABB FIM.
