Saarländischer Rundfunk baut neues Digitales Produktionszentrum auf Systemtechnologie von SGI

Die ´Silicon Graphics Broadcast Europe´, SGI´s paneuropäisch agierende Geschäftseinheit für den Mediensektor, gibt bekannt, dass der Saarländische Rundfunk beim Aufbau seines neuen Digitalen Produktions­­zentrums auf SGI®-Systemarchitektur zurückgreifen wird. Generalunternehmer ist BFE, der die SGI-Technologie implemen­tiert. Das Projekt erstreckt sich über mehrere Ausbaustufen und hat einen Umfang von einigen Mio Euro.

Hauptbestandteile des Projektes sind Media-Asset-Management-Komponenten von SGT, Editing-Systeme von Pinnacle sowie Server-, Storage- und Netzwerk­Technologien von SGI.
