The results speak for themselves: 15,839 kilometers were cycled in a total of 711 rides over three weeks. That distance equals 1.5 laps around the moon – an impressive figure that highlights the commitment behind the effort. With this performance, SIKA secured 1st place in the community ranking. In addition, 2,598 kilograms of CO2 were saved.
Award Ceremony in Kaufungen
As part of the European Mobility Week, the award ceremony took place on September 17 on Theodor-Heuss-Platz in Kaufungen. Mayor Arnim Roß presented the certificates and awards to the most successful teams and individual cyclists.
We are especially proud that two of our colleagues were honored for their individual achievements:
- Elke Nolte achieved 3rd place in the women’s ranking.
- Daniel Schröder also secured 3rd place in the men’s ranking.
For SIKA, Stadtradeln is much more than a sporting competition: it represents a shared commitment to climate protection, sustainable mobility and local connectedness. At the same time, it strengthens cohesion within the company. Whether commuting to work, cycling in leisure time or joining group rides – the passion for cycling brings people together.
“Stadtradeln shows us every year that together we can achieve a lot – for our health, for the climate, and for our community,” emphasizes the SIKA team.
