Das Shuttle XPC Barebone SD37P2, wie auch die Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Prozessoren begeistern die Presse in nie da gewesener Weise mit extrem hoher Geschwindigkeit und geringem Stromverbrauch. Seit der Veröffentlichung der neuesten Quadcore-Generation aus Intels Core(TM)2 Serie war die Kompatibilität des Shuttle XPC Barebone SD37P2 zu diesen innovativen Prozessoren eine der häufigsten Fragen. Die für Kompatibilitätstests zuständige Division der Shuttle Inc. in Taiwan hat nun offiziell folgende Vierkern-CPU-Modelle zur Nutzung im Shuttle XPC Barebone SD37P2 freigegeben.

- Intel Quadcore Prozessoren:
Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Quad Q6400, Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Quad Q6600
- Intel Quadcore Prozessor der Extreme-Baureihe:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Extreme Quad-Core Prozessor QX6700.

Ein BIOS-Update ist nicht notwendig.
