Generation Change at SCHOMÄCKER: The Start of a New Era.

(PresseBox) (Melle, )
SCHOMÄCKER, the family owned manufacturer of commercial vehicle springs in Melle, Lower Saxony, announces a change in its ownership structure. The company’s upcoming generation change will also bring a change of ownership and management in its wake.

How does a company that has been family owned for five generations set the course for its future if a sixth generation is missing? This was the question posed by Horst Schnatmeier, from the owner family of the SCHOMÄCKER spring factory in Melle. "In the inte rests of the company, I have looked for partners outside the family who would commit themselves wholeheartedly to our enterprise", Schnatmeier describes the situation, presenting a convincing internal solution. Alongside his person, the company now has four new owners: Dr Joachim Sommer and Luiz Sommer, Hubert Temmen and Klaus Borchelt. All of them have been associated with SCHOMÄCKER for many years: Dr. Joachim Sommer as a member of the Advisory Board, Hubert Temmen as an authorised signatory and Head of Technology, Klaus Borchelt as an authorised signatory and Sales Director. The five shareholders are totally committed to the company. Their focus is on maintaining the company’s existing corporate culture whilst concentrating even more on cutting-edge technology and customer satisfaction.

SCHOMÄCKER’s current managing director, Dr. Torsten Bispink, will retire in the near future as planned. The new management team, consisting of Dr. Joachim Sommer, Hubert Temmen and Klaus Borchelt, represents an impressive wealth of expertise in the industry. Their joint vision: to further develop SCHOMÄCKER at the Melle site sustainably so it can be passed on to the next generation one day. “We are experiencing a milestone in the history of the enterprise”, says Dr. Sommer, one of the new managing directors. “We are grateful for the trust placed in us and we are determined to prepare SCHOMÄCKER responsibly for the challenges ahead.” Together with our employees, our customers and our suppliers, we will they will successfully shape SCHOMÄCKER’s future.
