In modernen Wohn- und Zweckgebäuden möchte heute niemand mehr auf die Annehmlichkeiten von Gebäudeautomation verzichten. Wer sich dabei nicht auf einen Hersteller festlegen möchte, erhält mit KNX-zertifizierten Komponenten wie beispielsweise den SpaceLogic KNX-Aktoren von Schneider Electric eine ideale Lösung. Reicht das Produktportfolio eines Anbieters nicht mehr aus, kann es problemlos mit Lösungen anderer Hersteller erweitert werden. Mittlerweile gibt es rund 8.000 KNX-kompatible Produkte von 495 Herstellern.

Hybride Systeme erlauben Vernetzung über mehrere Bussysteme hinweg

Mehr und mehr etablieren sich auch hybride Systeme, welche die KNX Bus-Topologie um Multi-Protokoll-Gateways (BACnet, Modbus, DALI etc.) erweitern. Logikcontroller wie Wiser for KNX und spaceLYnk von Schneider Electric verbinden zahlreiche Standards und Protokolle und ermöglichen beispielweise auch die Verknüpfung von KNX und IP-Kommunikation. Auf diese Weise können KNX-Komponenten problemlos über Mobilgeräte gesteuert werden. Um Platz für künftige Erweiterungen einzusparen, verfügt der Wiser for KNX Logikkontroller von Schneider Electric bereits über integrierte USB-Schnittstellen, einen IP-Router sowie ein Logikmodul und eine Jahreszeitschaltuhr.
