scapos AG will once again be exhibiting at LogiMAT, the leading intralogistics trade fair, which will take place in Stuttgart from 24 to 26 March 2026. In line with this year's trade fair motto, ‘Passion for Details’, scapos AG will present its two core software products — PUZZLE and PackAssistant — as key components for efficient, cost- and resourcesaving packaging and logistics processes.

For scapos AG, participation in 2026 represents a continuation of its successful history at previous LogiMAT events – and an opportunity to demonstrate its expertise and innovative strength with concrete, tried-and-tested solutions.

PUZZLE: Optimisation of cardboard boxes and pallets – efficient, stable, integrated

The PUZZLE software is aimed at companies that want to load parcels, cartons or pallets optimally. PUZZLE can be used to calculate the best possible arrangement of packages in a defined space – be it a pallet or a shipping carton. At the same time, the system helps to select a suitable loading aid.

The key features of PUZZLE include:
• Support for single-item and mixed orders — i.e. both identical packages and mixtures of different items.
• Two-stage optimisation: from outer packaging to palletising (i.e. first carton/tray, then pallet).
• Interactive visualisation of optimised loading units — the result is not just an abstract calculation, but can be displayed in concrete terms.
• Optional integrated stability check and consideration of weight and package orientation.
• Multilingual user interface (including English, French and German).
• Interface for easy integration into existing IT systems such as WMS or ERP via REST API - an important feature for seamlessly integrating PUZZLE into existing logistics processes.

PUZZLE provides companies with a solution that not only makes optimal use of space and materials, but also creates transparency and traceability in packaging planning — from carton selection to pallet loading.

PackAssistant: Box planning for complex, identical parts

PackAssistant is specifically aimed at industrial customers who need to package and transport complex components, e.g. from mechanical engineering or automotive supply. The software efficiently plans the filling of boxes with identical parts based on their 3D CAD data. This allows even parts with complex geometries to be packed in a space-saving, secure and transportoptimised manner.

Key advantages and functions at a glance:
Optimised container utilisation: PackAssistant maximises the number of components per box, thereby reducing transport and storage costs.
No more time-consuming packing trials: Automated calculations of the optimal packing arrangement eliminate the need for traditional physical packing tests.
Early transport, container and storage planning: Packaging and logistics can be planned as early as the design or prototype phase of the components.
Wide range of packaging types: Including packaging with fixed or flexible interlayers, stacking, in compartments, simulation of bulk goods or complex parts.
Intuitive operation & 3D visualisation: The results can be displayed as a 3D packing arrangement — with a level view, layer structure, transparent container and easy rotation and viewing of all parts.
Output in standard formats: Packaging instructions can be generated in Excel/Word, and the packing plans can also be exported as CAD models (e.g. STEP, JT, VRML) — ideal for integration into existing design and production planning.
Automation: Packaging optimisations can be triggered automatically via interfaces (e.g. Excel add-in or JSON interface) — important for large series or frequent

PackAssistant enables companies to solve packaging problems at an early stage, accelerate processes and minimise costs for transport, storage and manual packing attempts.
