Ruetschi Technology AG, a leading contract manufacturer of sterile single-use products for medical devices, and its subsidiary André Gueissaz specialized in toolmaking and injection molding of components and assemblies for the medical industry, officially announce their merger. The new group will unify under the brand of Ruetschi and the merger is effective from April 1, 2020. Christian Moser and Christoph Ruetschi will continue to lead the company as Co-CEO’s.
A brief history
André Gueissaz SA was founded in 1848 starting out in the manufacture of mechanical music boxes. As history evolved, so did the company and in the late sixties, the company was specialized in injection molding and micro-injection molding of thermoplastics.
After more than a century of history, the company continues to develop its skills and know-how in the work of technical materials offering the highest performance. It offers a global service for plastic components, from design, toolmaking, industrialization to production and sterile packaging of the finished product.
In 2006 the company joined forces with Ruetschi Technology, a company founded in 1960. Ruetschi Technology started out as a watch dial manufacturer and diversified into CNC-machining in the 70's. Today, the company designs and produces instruments and implants, with a special focus on procedure kits for spinal surgery, dental implantology and orthopedics.
