Militärisches Fahrzeug-Joint Venture von Rheinmetall und BAE Systems in Großbritannien erhält Zustimmung der britischen Wettbewerbsbehörde CMA

Rheinmetall begrüßt die Ankündigung der britischen Wettbewerbsbehörde CMA, das geplante militärische Fahrzeug-Joint Venture zwischen Rheinmetall und BAE Systems zu genehmigen. Im Januar 2019 hatten Rheinmetall und BAE Systems mitgeteilt, im Landsystem-Bereich künftig in Form eines Gemeinschaftsunternehmens zu kooperieren.

Nach Vollzug der formalen Gründung, die in einigen Wochen erfolgen soll, wird das neue Unternehmen mindestens 450 Arbeitsplätze in Großbritannien erhalten und in der Lage sein, die zukünftigen Interessen des britischen Kunden noch besser zu erfüllen. Der neue MIV-Radpanzer (Mechanised Infantry Vehicle) für die britische Armee und die Modernisierung der Challenger 2-Kampfpanzerflotte sind wichtige Projekte in diesem Zusammenhang.

Weitere Informationen zum Joint Venture wollen Rheinmetall und BAE Systems in den kommenden Wochen veröffentlichen.
