RIM gibt Preisträger der "Blackberry Emea Innovation Awards 2011" bekannt

Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM) hat heute die Sieger der "BlackBerry® EMEA Innovation Awards 2011" bekannt gegeben. Mit dieser Auszeichnung für Innovationen, die mittlerweile zum vierten Mal den Höhepunkt des alljährlichen BlackBerry® EMEA Alliance-Gipfeltreffens markiert, werden Organisationen innerhalb des BlackBerry® Alliance Programms in Europa, dem Mittleren Osten und Afrika gewürdigt, die den Kunden über die BlackBerry®-Plattform überzeugende Anwendungen und Dienste mit Mehrwert zur Verfügung stellen.

Jeder der Sieger in den insgesamt sieben verschiedenen Kategorien hat außergewöhnliche Leistungen bei der Entwicklung innovativer Applikationen gezeigt, die einen konkreten Nutzen für öffentliche Organisationen oder solche im privaten Sektor, für KMUs oder den Endanwender liefern. In diesem Jahr wurde eine neue Kategorie eingeführt, um besonders Lösungen für das BlackBerry® PlayBook(TM) -Tablet zu würdigen.

Die Preisträger wurden von einer unabhängigen Jury ausgewählt, die sich aus elf Branchenexperten, Fachjournalisten und Kunden zusammensetzt.

Erstmalig wurde dieses Jahr auch ein Preis in der neuen Kategorie "Publikumssieger" vergeben. Hierfür stimmten die Fans und Follower über BlackBerry Facebook- und Twitter-Kanäle in ganz Europa, dem Nahen Osten und Afrika ab. Mit dieser Auszeichnung wird die beliebteste kostenlose, in der BlackBerry® App World(TM) verfügbare App gewürdigt.
