Matrox Morphis DVR-16 ist eine skalierbare Videoerfassungskarte mit Mehrkanal-Kompression in Echtzeit, die speziell für Digitale Video Recorder (DVR) entworfen wurde. Sie ist bestens geeignet für Anwendungen mit Aufnahmen über mehrere Kanäle - sie verfügt über alle Leistungsmerkmale, die DVR-Anwendungen mit Audio- und Videokompression erfordern - zu einem sehr konkurrenzfähigen Preis.

Die Morphis DVR-16 kann mit NTSC-, PAL-, RS-170- und CCIR Videoquellen verwendet werden. Als PCI- oder PCIe-Karte ist die Morphis DVR-16 skalierbar und kann von 4 bis 16 Kanälen Video- und Audioströme erfassen und komprimieren. Jeder Kanal unterstützt Bewegungserkennung, Blind- und Nacht-Erkennung sowie den Verlust des Videosignals.

Die Hardware kann MJPEG- bzw. MPEG-4-Kompression in Echtzeit ausführen. Das Display-Overlay unterstützt das Ausblenden von Bereichen.

Die Software für Morphis-DVR ist lieferbar für Microsoft Windows und umfasst die bewährten Entwicklungswerkzeuge der Matrox Imaging Library – MIL - zur Erstellung kundenspezifischer Anwendungen.
