Five days, 50 dedicated cyclists, one good cause – For the 23rd time, the charity event “Tour de Kreisle” has rolled through the Göppingen district. Taking part for the 15th time: RAMPF Machine Systems, the leading expert for machine beds made from mineral casting.
A total of 250 kilometers were covered by participants on e-bikes, visiting nearly every municipality in the Göppingen district. They stopped by town halls, businesses, and institutions to collect donation checks for the "Hospiz im Landkreis Göppingen" [Hospice in the Göppingen District] association.
Despite chilly, damp weather, this year’s "Tour de Kreisle" set a new fundraising record, collecting 57,290 euros – the highest amount in the event’s history.
The "Tour de Kreisle" was initiated in 1998 by Klaus Riegert. At the time, he was a Member of Parliament and combined his campaign tours with fundraising efforts. Since 2008, the event is exclusively supporting the hospice in Faurndau and the construction of a new facility in Geislingen.
