Mission Impossible? Not for RAMPF China. Delivering a Premium Automotive Project Against All Odds!

Close Contour Casting technology enables fast, cost‑efficient production of an exterior model for a premium European automotive brand

(PresseBox) (Nantong, China, )
When timing, holidays, and supply constraints collide, success depends on decisiveness, teamwork, and execution excellence.

RAMPF China proved exactly that by completing a highly time‑critical project for the exterior model of a premium European automotive brand – despite a seemingly impossible deadline.

The Challenge

Just ahead of Chinese New Year, RAMPF China was tasked with manufacturing six premium polyurethane castings within three weeks. Normally tough but achievable – especially with RAMPF’s RAKU® TOOL Close Contour Casting technology.

Delivered as semi‑finished parts close to the final shape, these polyurethane products dramatically reduce production time, cost, and material waste.

But this time, the situation was far from straightforward.

With Chinese New Year holiday imminent, mold suppliers essential to casting production were about to shut down for almost 20 days. And all existing partner suppliers were already fully booked.

Without a supplier to manufacture the molds before the holiday shutdown, both the project and customer expectations were at serious risk.

The Response

RAMPF China acted immediately and decisively:
  • The procurement team launched an intensive search for alternative mold suppliers.
  • In parallel, the production team, supported directly by RAMPF China CEO Tiger Meng, prepared a contingency plan to manufacture the molds in‑house, with cross‑departmental backup if required.
The Breakthrough

Against the odds, the procurement team secured a supplier willing to fast‑track mold production. Immediately after Chinese New Year, RAMPF China’s production and Quality Assurance (QA) teams began preparing the molds.

Within days, the high‑quality parts were successfully cast and delivered to the customer – a fitting New Year gift marking the start of the Zodiac Year of the Horse.

“Completing this project under such extraordinary conditions demonstrates the strength, agility, and determination of our team,” says Tiger Meng. “We are proud to have turned a seemingly impossible mission into a success for our customer.”

Tough conditions, tight timelines? RAMPF delivers with advanced technology and decisive teamwork – across the globe!
