Die 4 GBit/s SANblade Pro Host Bus Adapter (HBAs) von QLogic sind momentan die leistungsstärksten Netzwerkkarten, die am Markt verfügbar sind. Dies ist das Ergebnis umfassender Tests, bei denen Lösungen der SANblade Pro 2440- und SANblade Pro 2460-Familien ihre Performance unter Beweis stellen mussten. Die SANblade Pro 2240 HBAs erzielten beim Lesevorgang eine Input-/Output-Leistung von 202.000 I/O pro Sekunde. Beim Schreiben lag diese um 150 Prozent über den Werten, die bei vergleichbaren Produkten des größten Mitbewerbers gemessen wurden. Die SANblade Pro 2460 HBAs, die für den Einsatz in anspruchsvollen Umgebungen konzipiert sind, schnitten noch besser. Hier lagen die I/O-Leistung bei 304.000 I/Os pro Sekunde. Die SANblade Pro Host Bus Adapter sind von Grund auf für den Einsatz in Umgebungen mit höchsten Performance-Anforderungen ausgelegt, in denen verschiedene Anwendungen auf virtuellen Servern betrieben werden.
