Neuer Kooperationspartner in Nordamerika

Die Profichip GmbH hat mit Grid Connect Inc. einen neuen Vertriebspartner für Nordamerika gefunden

Grid Connect Inc. übernimmt die Verkäufe und die technische Unterstützung für Profichip PROFIBUS Asics in Nordamerika.

Beide Firmen sind die Partnerschaft mit dem Ziel eingegangen, den neuen Wachstumsmarkt für PROFIBUS in Nordamerika besser zu erschließen.

Lothar Schroettel, Vertriebsmanager bei Profichip und Mike Justice, Präsident von Grid Connect sehen den Markt für industrielle Halbleiterübertragung als einen Schwerpunkt für beide Unternehmen, in dem man bereits über langjährige Erfahrung verfügt.

Das Team von profichip GmbH entwickelt seit 1998 ASICs für die industrielle Kommunikation und Steuerung. Neben den ASICs für interne Kommunikation für SPS-Systeme, wurde 1999 der erste Profibus Slave Controller VPC3+ vorgestellt. Nach dieser erfolgreichen Produkteinführung, erweitert profichip im Jahr 2000 die Produktpalette um einen weiteren Profibus Slave ASIC, dem Lean Slave VPCLS. Seither verbessert profichip ununterbrochen die vorhandenen Eigenschaften Profibus in ihren ASICs.

Ein anderer Beweis für die Innovation von profichip war die Realisierung des Speed7 PLC7000 - der erste Hochleistungs-SPS. Programmierbar in Step7® *. Speed7 kennzeichnet einen erheblichen Fortschritt in der Geschichte der PLCs.

Der PLC7000 wird derzeit in den Systemen 300S und 500S von VIPA verwandt. Profichip liefert und entwickelt jedoch nicht ausschließlich für VIPA. Profichip ist ein eigenständiges Unternehmen mit einer eigenen Vertriebsstruktur und weltweit tätigen Industriekunden.
