Darmstädter IT-Dienstleister erweitert durch Schulterschluss mit VMware sein Leistungsspektrum um Konsolidierung und Partitionierung von Intel-basierten Servern

Die PROFI Engineering Systems AG ist ab sofort offizieller VIP Enterprise Partner von VMware, dem in München ansässigen führenden Anbieter von virtueller Infrastruktur-Software für x86-basierte Computersysteme. Möglich wurde die Kooperation durch die Erfüllung aller erforderlichen technischen Zertifizierungen des Darmstädter IT-Dienstleisters und die Vergrößerung des Teams der Systemingenieure um VMware-erfahrene Mitarbeiter. PROFI erweitert damit erneut sein umfassendes Portfolio, da sich die nicht partitionierbaren Intel-basierten Server jetzt mithilfe der Software von VMware partitionieren lassen; dies war bisher allen anderen IBM Hardware Plattformen vorenthalten.


"Als VIP Partner haben wir jetzt die Berechtigung, unseren Kunden und Anwendern die leistungsstarken Produkte von VMware zu verkaufen und zu implementieren", zeigt sich Manfred Lackner, Vorstandsmitglied der PROFI Engineering Systems AG, erfreut über die Kooperation. "Mit unseren spezialisierten Mitarbeitern, die VMware-Installationen bereits in mehr als 20 Unternehmen durchgeführt haben, können wir uns künftig mit dieser Lösung noch besser mit der xSeries-Plattform differenzieren."
