Preview for Semicon West, July 10th -12th, North Hall, Booth 6080 for Pickering Interfaces

(PresseBox) (Clacton-on-Sea UK, )
Pickering Interfaces has continued to regularly release new products in both the LXI and the PXI platforms tackling the problems faced by our users in the Semiconductor industry. For the Semicon West in San Francisco this year we are exhibiting amongst others the following solutions/products on booth 6080 North Hall.

BIRST Modules (Built-In Relay Self Test) for PXI/LXI Applications

Verification and diagnosis of complex switching operation in a test system has always been an issue, especially in the PXI platform. For this reason, Pickering Interfaces has developed a new, first range of modules introducing built in self-test to selected models of their PXI switching modules. This feature is called Pickering Interfaces Introduces New PXI Solid State High Current Switches

The BIRST tool allows the user to very easily check system switching operation on command. BIRST will identify any relay failures in the switch module and is capable of detecting relays with deteriorating contacts which may indicate they are in the process of failing. To conduct a test the user simply disconnects the switching module from the UUT and runs the supplied application program. No supporting test equipment is needed; the test simply runs and identifies the position of any defective or suspect relays within the module. We will present various PXI and LXI modules with BIRST in San Francisco.

New Range of Microwave PXI Switch Solutions

The 40-784 supports one or two microwave switches in just 2 slots of 3U PXI and is available in two configurations and three frequency ranges. The available configurations are un-terminated 4 way (SP4T) and 6 way (SP6T) multiplexers, each configuration is available with a 6GHz, 26.5GHz or 40GHz specified frequency range.

All versions offer excellent VSWR and insertion loss performance. The 6GHz/26.5GHz configurations feature extended life of 10 million operations per position.

New Range of 6 GHZ Switch Solutions

First models in a new range of 6GHz switch solutions, these compact switch modules offer an alternative to mechanical microwave switches for applications up to 6GHz. Their excellent isolation and crosstalk performance combined with fast operation and long life makes them ideal for both production and development testing.
