Peter Schmidt Group at the OMR Festival: Fast Forward Rebranding for E.ON

Energy supply? For a long time, the topic was about as exciting as signing an insurance contract was for most people. But those days are gone. The transition to renewable energy is one of the main challenges society faces in the quest to ensure a better future. E.ON has strategically repositioned itself, and sees itself as a playmaker for change. The new positioning is designed to be effective both internally and in terms of external visibility. And it was achieved in record time – initial implementation of the new brand identity began just three months after the project began.

“When brands decide on a new image, they need to be aware that they're not only delivering a signal to the general public,” said Kristin Janoschka, Executive Director Consulting at the brand and design agency Peter Schmidt Group. “Indeed, every brand change creates enormous internal momentum that companies need to plan and utilize. If they manage the internal commitment successfully, the realignment can succeed in record time.” A current example is the agency's work for the energy provider E.ON. A master class at the OMR Festival in Hamburg will focus on the project.
