Unichiller 助力喜马拉雅西侧印度天文观测站实现精准( 确)测量

在位于喜马拉雅山山脉中段的印度天文观测站内,Huber 循环冷却器为行星望远镜的测量设备提供恒定的工作温度。观测站位于喜马拉雅山西侧的沙拉施瓦提山 (Saraswati),毗邻印度海乐 (Hanle),隶属印度天体物理研究所。鉴于 4572 米的海拔高度,观测站一举成为了世界上最高的天文台。观测站配有一枚光学式 2m 红外线望远镜“Himalayan Chandra-Teleskop(HCT)”,其(dlete )由位于印度班加罗尔市附近的“科学与技术教育研究中心(Center for Research and Education in Science and Technology, CREST)”通过专属卫星连接进行远程控制。为了在冬季 -30 °C 和夏季 +30 °C 的温度下确保远程控制操作正常工作,Huber-Unichiller 将设备电子装置控制在恒定的 16 °C。另外,利用恒定的温度,还可避免因剧烈的外部温度波动造成测量误差。

在喜马拉雅山安装设备前,还须建造一个特殊的试验室,用于在极端条件下模拟冷却。在这里,低气压以及极端温度波动是最大的技术挑战。根据测试和模拟评定,带加热功能的 Unichiller 040T 作为特殊装置被选定建造。该设备的设计可确保在恶劣的气候条件下正常可靠地工作 —— Unichiller 自 2015 年 11 月起已投入使用。
