Mehr Flexibilität für NEO Series Tape Librarys: Overland Storage präsentiert iSCSI Connectivity-Option

Mit der Verfügbarkeit der neuen iSCSI Connectivity-Option für die Tape Librarys der NEO Series stärkt Overland Storage sein Engagement für dieses Protokoll. Dank iSCSI-Technologie sind die NEO Librarys jetzt auch in IP Storage Area Networks flexibel und kostengünstig einsetzbar. iSCSI setzt auf bewährten und preiswerten Ethernet-Technologien und -Komponenten auf und transportiert SCSI-Blöcke über IP-Netzwerke. Anwender können so bestehende Infrastrukturen, Fachkenntnisse und Management Tools für die Sicherung der Daten mehrerer Server auf NEO nutzen. Kunden erhalten die Geschwindigkeit von Fibre Channel und die hohe Performance von Direct Attached Storage zu einem Bruchteil der Kosten. Overlands iSCSI Connectivity-Option unterstützt eine Bandbreite von über 130 Megabyte pro Sekunde und behebt so Engpässe beim Backup-Server.

iSCSI Connectivity ist für jede NEO 2000, NEO 4000 und NEO 8000 Library erhältlich. In Deutschland können sich Fachhändler an eld datentechnik in Stuttgart und Orchestra Services in Gräfelfing wenden. In der Schweiz sind die Librarys über Adcomp und in Österreich über TC Plus verfügbar.
