Kappenberger + Braun zählt zu den führenden Elektrounternehmen in Deutschland und zu den größten in Bayern. Es wurde 1960 als Elektro-Installationsfirma mit Elektro-, Radio- und Fernseh-Einzelhandel gegründet und ist heute international mit aktuell 1 440 Mitarbeitern tätig, davon in Deutschland 820, von denen 99 Auszubildende in zehn Berufssparten sind.
Der Umsatz steigerte sich kontinuierlich auf 120 Mio. Euro. Das Unternehmen steht auf drei Säulen: Elektroinstallation, Kommunikations- und Steuerungstechnik und Elektrofachhandel.

Die K+B E-Tech wurde zum 2. Mal seit 2010 von der IHK Regensburg, Geschäftsstellen Cham und Regensburg, der Handwerkskammer Niederbayern-Oberpfalz und der Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich Aktiengesellschaft, Zweigniederlassung Süddeutschland, nominiert. 2010 erfolgte die Auszeichnung als „Finalist“ und 2011 als „Preisträger“.
