Orga Systems, #1 choice for real-time charging and billing, won two awards at the esteemed Global Telecoms Business (GTB) Innovation Awards 2012, announced 12 June. In the category "Wireless Network Infrastructure Innovation", Orga Systems won the award "Mobile Customer Experience Innovation" for its Next Generation Control Point (NGCP). This unified charging and billing platform helped Ukrainian operator life:) increase its charging performance by 300% and drop customer complaints by 75%. Orga Systems won its second award "Smart Grid Infrastructure Innovation" in the category "Business Service Innovation" for OS.Energy, a smart billing solution for energy providers. This solution is an important part of the leading Philippine utility company Meralco, which plans to launch a Prepaid Electricity Service.

The great and good of the telecoms industry, including operators and service providers from around the world, gathered to celebrate the sixth annual GTB Innovation Awards, specifically honouring projects that involve a partnership between operators and vendors.

Wireless Network Infrastructure Innovation award

Ukrainian GSM operator life:) deployed Orga Systems' real-time charging, active mediation and policy control solution NGCP. One of the advantages of the unified platform is the significant increase in performance and efficiency, which reached over 300% in maintaining flexibility of system configuration as well as a 75% drop of customer complaints. Orga Systems enables life:) to stay ahead of the field by moving away from pure bandwidth control towards smart bandwidth management, enabling personalized offerings which allow life:) to keep its competitive advantage in such a highly saturated market as in the Ukraine.

Business Service Innovation award

Orga Systems won the award for its work with the leading Philippine company Meralco which serves over five million customers and is the largest distribution utility in the Philippines, supplying 60% of the country's energy requirements. Orga Systems successfully demonstrated its Smart Payment Utility Solution in a POC last December 2011 and is now an important part of Meralco's plan to launch a Prepaid Electricity Service (PRES). The PRES will allow customers to manage their consumption, ease their cash flow and improve overall customer experience. On top of this, the integrated solution also enables Meralco to achieve efficiencies and fully leverage its investments in a phased Smart Grid program.
