LogiMAT 2025: Choreography of the entire supply chain in the SAP RISE & GROW ecosystem by ORBIS

Hall: 4 Stand-Nr.: C57

(PresseBox) (Saarbrücken, Germany, )
Hall: 4 Stand-Nr.: C57 The international software and business consulting company ORBIS SE from Saarbrücken will be presenting the Digital Supply Chain by ORBIS, which is fully integrated in GROW and RISE with SAP, at LogiMAT 2025 (March 11-13, 2025) in hall 4 at booth C57.

Companies today face challenges such as supply bottlenecks, unpredictable fluctuations in demand, fluctuating costs and many more. A company's supply chain impacts the entire organization and today it is no longer enough to be cost-conscious and efficient. To avoid disruptions in the supply chain and make it risk-resistant, it is important to connect it to the entire organization and its data. Information needs to be linked to processes and workflows to enable collaboration both within the organization and across networks.

In this context, companies are struggling with the question of which technological support is the right one. As an international partner, ORBIS provides support in the Digital Supply Chain ecosystem with extensive project expertise in the implementation of proven SAP solutions as well as a broad portfolio of supplementary, SAP-integrated, proprietary solutions for intralogistics and production. This allows intralogistics processes to be connected to the functionalities of the ORBIS Manufacturing Execution System (ORBIS MES).

SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) helps your company to plan transportation requirements in a targeted manner and coordinate each individual logistics step. Challenges such as complex supply chain networks or the traceability of goods during transportation require targeted solutions that create end-to-end transparency

SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) is used to control and optimize all warehouse processes. Its use results in a wide range of advantages from which companies and their employees benefit. For example, the future-proof solution offers a wide range of scaling options to adapt to the respective size of the warehouse.

With the option of integration into SAP S/4HANA, SAP Digital Manufacturing (SAP DM) as a cloud-based MES offers a connection between your business systems and production to gain transparency across all production sites.

The SAP-based ORBIS Logistics solutions - the ORBIS Transport Control System, the ORBIS Picking Cockpit, the ORBIS Packaging Cockpit and ORBIS Vertical Lift Management (ORBIS VLM) - automate and optimize intralogistics processes from goods receipt to dispatch. The intuitive, multilingual ORBIS Logistics Apps and ORBIS VLM play an important role in ensuring optimal shuttle tray allocation in the high-bay warehouse.

ORBIS MES, which is integrated into SAP, forms a central building block for seamlessly linking and synchronizing data from the shop floor with SAP processes and for establishing a connected digital value chain. Users can view all relevant information in ORBIS MES anywhere and on any end device and thus process their tasks efficiently.

At LogiMAT, ORBIS will be presenting two pioneering showcases that use modern SAP technologies to make logistics processes more efficient. The first showcase, based on RISE with SAP, presents a pick-by-light solution integrated into SAP EWM, which was developed in collaboration with iX-tech GmbH to make order picking faster and more precise using light signals. In addition, the second showcase based on GROW with SAP presents mobile applications that run in the Public Cloud and are specially designed for medium-sized companies. These applications enable flexible control of logistics processes via mobile devices and support rapid implementation. Both showcases demonstrate how innovative technologies can help companies to make their intralogistics future-proof and scalable.

ORBIS SE supports its customers in the implementation of the Digital Supply Chain as a reliable partner with consulting, process and technology expertise in the SAP ecosystem, based on more than 35 years of experience. In addition to SAP solutions and ORBIS Logistics solutions, ORBIS will be presenting ORBIS MES and ORBIS DSP (Distributed Shopfloor Processing) at the LogiMAT trade fair booth. The focus will be on a practical exchange and exciting live demos.
