Das Projekt OpenOffice.org kündigt die Verfügbarkeit der Version 2.3.1 der gleichnamigen Office-Suite an. Diese Version ist ein Bugfix-Release, in dem kleinere Fehler und Unzulänglichkeiten korrigiert wurden, jedoch keine neuen Funktionen eingefügt worden sind. OpenOffice.org 2.3.1 behebt auch ein potentielles Sicherheitsproblem mit Datenbankdateien (siehe http://www.openoffice.org/...), weshalb allen Benutzern zum Update auf die neue Version geraten wird.

OpenOffice.org 2.3.1 ist auf den Webseiten des deutschsprachigen Projektes unter http://de.openoffice.org erhältlich, die offiziellen Release Notes stehen in englischer Sprache unter http://development.openoffice.org/... bereit.

Neue Versionen von OpenOffice.org Portable und der PrOOo-Box werden in Kürze folgen. Die nächste Version von OpenOffice.org, 2.4, wird voraussichtlich im März erscheinen.
