NETZSCH Pumps & Systems Expands Its Plant in China

"Lanzhou New Plant" for more customer proximity in the Asian region

(PresseBox) (Waldkraiburg, )
The Asian region continues to rush in the fast lane. Economic growth is associated in many places with corresponding expansions of production capacities in all branches of industry. The demand for high-quality pumps to convey a wide variety of media is correspondingly high. The global specialist in complex fluid management NETZSCH Pumps & Systems is now responding to the increased demand.

At NETZSCH, the motto "In the region, for the region" has been applied for decades. Considering the rapid development of the Asian economic area, it seems only logical that the globally acting pump manufacturer is significantly expanding its capacities at the site in Lanzhou, China, in response to the increased demand.

The "Lanzhou New Plant" project includes an expansion of a massive 90,000 square metres. An ultra-modern and sustainable factory will be built in the Dinglian Industrial Park, which customers can look forward to: "As the newest production site, the plant will set new standards in the areas of digitalisation, efficiency and sustainability, and at the same time define the future of pump manufacturers in China", says Felix Kleinert, CEO of Pumps & Systems.

In addition to an automatic high-bay warehouse and an automatic guided vehicle (AGV) system, a photovoltaic system and a wastewater treatment plant ensure that the location sets new standards for efficiency and sustainability. But the well-being of the employees should be addressed too. Therefore the expansion also includes a modern dormitory, sports facilities and gastronomy.

In April 2023, the go-ahead will be given for the construction of the first project phase, which will be completed in 2024. The moving from the old to the new plant will then begin.
